Black Seed Bagels, East Village, Manhattan

There are New York City bagels and then there are Montréal bagels! I love them both! Black Seed Bagels are made in New York City in the Montréal style. They are smaller and less dense. Like NYC bagels they are hand rolled and boiled. And they are baked in a wood oven. They remind me of St. Viateur bagels which are probably the best Montréal bagels. If you dare try another kind of bagel! It is worth it! AND they make gluten free bagels that I’m told are really really good.
