Saturday 20 June 2026 is the 44th annual Coney Island Mermaid Parade. It will be my 16th time attending and photographing it. It occurs every year on the Saturday closest to the Summer Solstice and it is billed as the nation’s largest art parade. It is a major celebration with amazing costumes. I suggest that you should do ut at least once in your life. But if you do, you’re likely to return again and again. And it’s great for photography too.
