NYC Photo Walks

Not being a complete novice I wasn't looking for in depth tuition but the opportunity to wander the less well known streets and Leanne certainly knew what I liked and gave guidance when required or I asked for. She clearly has vast experience of the city and knowledge with on more than one occasion spotted photo opportunities far quicker than I ever would! With her encouragement I came away with more confidence and took some good pictures from the remaining days of my trip.

Those next few hours? Nothing short of magical. Leanne Staples was my guide through both iconic avenues and hidden corners, teaching me to see—and capture—New York as only a true local could. What surprised me was how easygoing New Yorkers are about having their photos taken, a stark contrast to what I’m used to in Europe! (Trust me, Leanne had some colourful ways of explaining this difference.)

She teaches you fundamentals of street photography and artistic, unique ways to capture street life. She has a casual style and it is a very relaxed tour where you not just capture fantastic pictures but also have a lot of fun exploring the city together!

Not only did I make a lot of progress in street photography (which was my main objective), but I also learned a lot about the city and discovered neighborhoods I would never have visited as a simple tourist. An unforgettable experience.
