Walking Photo Tours and Street Photography Workshops in NYC

Group Street Photography Workshops

SNYC's Street Photography Workshops are a popular way for visitors to NYC and New Yorkers to learn the techniques and skills of street photography and explore the city.

My group street photography workshops are a popular way for visitors to NYC and New Yorkers to learn the techniques and skills of street photography while exploring one of New York's exciting urban neighborhoods. Workshops are regularly held throughout the year and you'll find the upcoming workshops below. Each neighborhood has different characteristics and we use different styles of shooting and every workshop is different. If you're visiting NYC and there isn't a workshop scheduled for the day you would like to take one, a private tour or photography workshop might be for you! Please don't hesitate to contact me if you require any further information. Gift certificates are available too!

Abstract Street Photography Workshop

Abstract Street Photography Workshop

  • Exploring different techniques to shoot abstract street photography

  • Using composition and color to create abstract photos

  • Choosing camera settings to produce desired effects

  • No experience necessary

The workshop is led by Leanne Staples. It is an 4 hour abstract street photography workshop and it is limited to 5 people. This workshop is good no matter your level of experience amateur to professional. There's something for everyone. All digital cameras are good for the workshop. Zoom lenses are a plus. Neutral Density filters can be used but are not necessary.

We spend the entire time on the street shooting and discussing and we'll stop for coffee and discussion as well. The workshop runs rain or shine with the exception of extreme weather. Make certain to have fully charged batteries, empty memory cards, wear comfortable shoes and prepare for the weather.

You can see a sample of some of my abstract street photography on my Shoot New York City website.
